Book Quiz - Middle School

Fall 2024 Middle School Reading Competition Team - Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Bellwood-Antis School District
Welcome to the Middle School Reading Competition Team! If you are in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade and you like to read, you are eligible to join! Grab a friend that also likes to read, and talk to Mrs. Fabyanic!

Team Member Requirements & Information:
1. Each team member reads books from the Reading Competition Reading List, re-read/review those books closer to the competition date, complete the AR Quiz on paper and review the printed quizzes/summaries! (Most of these books are available on-line as read alouds/YouTube recordings!)
2. We will have voluntary breakfast get-togethers to touch base about the books and who is reading what. The list will be in the Fall RC packet.
3. We will hold a voluntary after-school on a Thursday, 2024 prior to the competition from @ 3:30 - 4:00 in the Library for those able to attend. This is to practice for the competition, review what may still need to be read, and select a team captain(s).
You, our Berlin MS Reading Competition Team members will represent BBSD well and enjoy meeting students from other area school districts participating in this event! Despite the competition with questions being asked about the 30 books on the reading list, the students rise to the challenge and have a great time!
Are you ready to have a good time reading? YES?! Then join our ranks for the Spring Reading Competition!

Here is what you need to do:
1. Sign up in the Elementary/MS Library.
2. Take the book listing to keep track of what books you are reading & a Fall RC packet with the PERMISSION SLIP.

3. Choose a book to read, sign your name by it on the MS charts the Library, and check it out of the Library.
*We need to have at least 1 person reading each book on the list (better if there are 2 or 3 people per book)!
*Pick a book that hasn't been read by a team member yet!

*READ, remember what you read, and ENJOY!

(I am not requiring you to take notes or write questions, but if those kinds of things help you to remember, don't hesitate!)
*You can touch base with Mrs. Fabyanic (@ 8:05 - 8:20 a.m.) in her room any morning.
(E014 - Elementary Building, 3rd/4th grade hallway, pass the gym and elevator, down the steps, and I am the third
room on the left side!)

I would love to see YOU on our fantastic BBMS Reading Competition Team!
